New Faster Way to Calm Down and Override Your Negative Voice Gremlin

I am sure that you have heard of affirmations, and possibly even afFORmations but have you considered using afFORmations combined with EFT? I find this to be a match made in heaven.

 I was using AfFORmations prior to learning about EFT with some great results, but the one difference I have noticed is the SPEED at which I manifest my desires and clear limiting beliefs when combining EFT with AfFORmations.

Other reasons I LOVE this Method:
It is fast, you don’t need to write a complicated script, and it can provide some fast generalized relief when you are in stressful situations. Sneak away to your car, the bathroom, or a closet while at work to try this next time you feel incredibly “stressed out”. I often do this when my children are stressing me out, run away to the bathroom for a few minutes of me time, and drown out their craziness with a few rounds of tapping on "Why am I so calm, cool, and collected?" "Why am I always so patient with my children?" If you need to say the tapping afformation phrases in your head, imagine saying them loudly and with feeling to your best friend, or someone you trust.
Why Afformations Work
We are asking our brains a positive question, thus soliciting a positive answer. We are thus easily setting new beliefs that serve us with these Afformations, and erasing and clearing any reversed energy around these desired new beliefs and old beliefs by tapping.
Create the afformation, tap while repeating the afformation out loud with feeling, easy right?
A Side Note on Why Affirmations May Not Be Working for You
To determine why these don’t work for you, we might want to take a look at how our human brain works. Think of your brain like a tape recorder. If you record something on that tape, it is there until you go back and erase it or replace it. Let’s suppose you have the belief that “I will never be successful”. Saying something out loud to your self will not change this belief without a significant amount of repeating and time invested. In my personal experience saying “I am successful” just returns a “No you’re not”. The retorting portion of our brain is based off of our senses and only sees, hears, smells, touches, and tastes what is in our current reality at this second. Our brain works from the Socratic Method. What is the Socratic Method you ask? Do you remember when your teacher used to embarrassingly pelt students with questions in the classroom? Asking questions to drive information into your head is a teacher’s version of the Socratic Method. When we ask our self a positive question like, “Why am I so successful in my EFT Practice?” or “Why do I gain ten new customers per month?” your brain AUTOMATICALLY returns the reasons why this IS currently. No more retorts.
The Basics of Afformations
An afformation is ALWAYS a question. How do we create afformations? Simple. Take your favorite affirmations and turn them into a question to pose to yourself.
Example: I am highly successful
Changed to Afformation Form: Why am I so highly successful? How am I so highly successful?
Example: I am grateful for the abundance in my life
Changed to Afformation Form: Why am I so grateful for the abundance in my life? How do I have so much abundance flowing into my life?
How to use Afformations with EFT
Use the Karate Chop spot to set your Afformation saying it three times. Then say your afformation at each of the eight tapping points.
THIS METHOD WORKS VERY WELL when you are short on time, are too wound up to think of exactly what to tap on, or when you just don’t feel comfortable creating an entire tapping script on your own. It also works incredibly well for children or surrogate tapping.
Time to Start Tapping! Let’s do one for eliminating stress and remaining calm in panicky situations.
Karate Chop Spot: Why am I always so calm and peaceful? Why do I feel so wonderful and relaxed? Why are all of my muscles relaxing now? (you can use just one afformation if it is easier for you to remember while tapping).
Inner Eyebrow: Why do I feel so wonderful and relaxed?
Outer Eye: Why are all of my muscles relaxing now?
Under Eye: Why do I feel so wonderful and relaxed?
Under Nose: Why am I always so calm and peaceful?
Under Chin: Why are all of my muscles relaxing now?
Collarbone: Why do I feel so wonderful and relaxed?
Under Arm: Why am I always so calm and peaceful?
Top of Head: Why are all of my muscles relaxing now?
Do a few rounds of this until you feel that you’re peaceful, calm, relaxed, and feeling wonderful. If you would like another easy addition to this is to add “past tense gratefulness tapping” such as “I am truly grateful for feeling calm, wonderful, and relaxed?” “I am grateful that this issue has been solved and I have moved forward with my life”.
After tapping take a deep easy breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, and congratulate yourself for taking the initiative to feel better instantly!
Afformations can be used to instill NEW beliefs while tapping is used simultaneously to remove OLD beliefs that do not serve us. I would try replacing your usual affirmation session, with afformations and tapping for a few weeks and see what positive things manifest in your life!
Why do I have a 4,000 square foot home on 5 acres?
How did I receive my new (dream car) so quickly?
How am I so patient with everyone in my life?
Why/How have I let go of all of the “hows” to receiving my abundance and desires?
Why am I feeling so healthy and full of abundance?
Why is abundance flowing directly to me, and to everyone I know?
Why am I always so great at instantly identifying and dissipating my limiting beliefs with EFT?

Afformations can also be useful to determine what to tap on next. If we give ourselves a statement and a memory or phrase known as a “tail ender” pops into our head, we can then tap on it using the EFT shortcut method, or using afformations.
